This problem with Outlook 2000 started suddenly yesterday. All messages I receive in my inbox arrive with a .txt attachment -- the message attaches itself. So, the text is still in the body of the email, but the email itself is also a .txt attachment.
I send emails to coworkers on the...
I'm not sure how to ping a mail server, but I could call our provider and ask. The server is not in-house, and she hasn't tried connecting to any other servers... What I do know is that she can check web-based email, etc using her internet browser with no problems.
This problem with not...
There is one computer on our LAN (we are a small agency) that keeps giving the user a "Unable to connect to server" message when she tries to send & receive emails.
The user told me outlook works fine when she begins the workday, but by the afternoon - each day - she gets non-stop...
Thanks everyone - I fixed the problem. It ended up being a short in the wiring somewhere in the bldg. I just had to unplug and replug in the main hub to reset it. We'll see if it keeps happening..
I think at this point I may just have to shut down. I did try disconnecting the phone wiring in our wiring closet, but it didn't work.
I am familiar with performing administrative functions, but I'm not sure what you mean by DS is a "programme function in the Config, Trunk," - I'm...
This might help. Save your file where it wants to be saved - in whatever folder it WILL save in.
Then copy and paste it manually. For example, save it in My Docs. Go to the icon and right click - copy. Enter the folder you want it saved in and right click - paste.
good luck.
We have 6 lines coming in to our Norstar phones. For a mysterious reason, lines 1 & 6 have been lit up since last night. This has never happened before, and I don't know how to turn on Disconnect Supervision.
Please, if you can - I'll need step by step instruction on how to turn on disconnect...
Yes, I've tried Last Known Config, but nothing happened. It was stuck as usual. I broke down and took it to the vendor where I bought it for repair. Those guys seem like the type to try and let it run overnight to see if it lets them in before re-installing windows.
Thanks for your help. ~MJ
I just installed Service Pack 1 on a computer with Windows 2000 Pro. I also installed the high encryption pack. Upon restarting, the computer boots up but gets stuck at "Preparing Network Connections...". I've tried rebooting several times, and even doing it in safe mode. Even in...
My palm - using pocket mirror with the hotsync application - syncs fine with all my folders in Outlook (2000), except it keeps telling me that it cannot access my Contacts.
My Contacts are not in a subfolder or anything. I have done everything I can think of - checked all the pocket mirror...
I have never encountered this before - If I leave my computer for about 10 minutes (screensaver time), a bunch of offline pop-up spam comes up everywhere, and my tool bar disappears. I tried clearing the history and temp internet files, but it's still happening.
I can't seem to find any free...
I don't have a simple answer for you, but I know that you can set Outlook to "leave messages on the server". Ex: my outlook is set to import messages from a POP3 server, and I could set it to leave a copy of those on the server, which I can access from the internet. To do this, go to...
I don't know of any way to do this using Tools - Options. This has happened to an old computer of mine, and I just had to reinstall Office, making sure to custom install it and checking "install from computer" specifically on all the outlook settings. Good luck.
I dismiss my outlook (2000 Pro) reminders, but they keep popping up! I even went to the run menu and ran the command "outlook /cleanreminders" - which worked for about 4 days. Then they started popping up again. I've scanned for viruses - nothing. Any suggestions?
A couple of times now my quick launch icons have disappeared. I'm talking about the ones on the right hand side of the bottom taskbar that launch things like my video card, hotsync, etc.
The two instances are:
1. I changed my user password and before I had a chance to log out and back in...
