    i do not know about the 406 but the 403 has a time clock battery which plugs onto the main board. i found this out when i had to install a new vcm. maybe that is at fault not the mainboard

    What can the maximum distance between a IPO403 base unit and a IP400 DT30 expansion unit be ? i have looked through the ipo403 manual it tells me that i need a "Expansion interconnect cable" but it does not say what the maximum distance can be between the two units.
