Has anyone successfully implemented AutoCAD with Citrix? Is this legal (re: EULA)? About 30 engineers total. I have heard it can not be done - yet some tell me it can.
Thank you!
Mike
You have probably seen postings on this forum regarding the Lakeside Software tool called SysTrack. This does what you are looking for and a LOT more. If you have interest, you can download a free trial from their website. Good luck!

XPa does not provide this information. XPe includes something call RM (Resource Manager). This is the component of XPe that collects the information you are looking for. If you don't want to upgrade to XPe, then you will have to use a third party product like Lakeside's SysTrack. They have a...
Carl, looks like you've written a pretty cool utility. Something else to think of in the way of tracking users would be not only "what" applications the users run and "when" they are running them but also "how" they are using them; an active/loaded ratio. Are they...
Re this part of your question:
c) How to size the "Metaframe XP" box? (CPU, RAM, disk)
Ascotta suggests a pilot and I agree. I have a white paper regarding "server sizing" that I can e-mail you if you send me your e-mail address to kapski@yahoo.com. This can make the job a...
Okay --- that makes it a little tougher; but not impossible. There is a product that I'm sure you have heard of on this site called SysTrack (now v3.13) that could be useful in helping you accomplish this. Knowing the name of the app allows SysTrack to recognize the app when it is running and...
RMS is version 1.0 of Lakeside Software's SysTrack; SysTrack version 3.12 is the current version now available for Lakeside - I think they are priced about the same.
I have a whitepaper on server sizing using SysTrack 3.1 if you would like a copy, please send me an e-mail (kapski@yahoo.com). You can download a free copy of SysTrack from the Lakeside website. SysTrack's Application Profile module tracks each application's CPU, Memory and I/O activity and...
SysTrack 3.1 from Lakeside Software allows you to create Alarm Profiles for each type of server you are monitoring; Citrix, Exchange, SQL, etc. And it works on WinNT, 2K and 2003. In an alarm profile you can configure SysTrack to watch for the launching of unauthorized applications, web sites...
I have Windows XP on my home computer and can only access the internet via dial-up due to my remote location. The Microsoft Updates Site tells me I need 33 critical patches that total 32Mb. I actually tried downloading these via my standard 31K connection (stop laughing), but could never get...
From my very cursory view of Surfcontrol it appears that it overlaps SysTrack in the area of web monitoring; only. If you are looking for something to monitor/manage your Citrix/Terminal servers; then SysTrack would be a better fit. If you are looking for something to monitor traffic patterns...
There is something out there, it is called SysTrack v3.1 and you can try it for free. The demo can be downloaded from http://www.lakesidesoftware.com/14daysystrackdownload.htm
Does exactly what you are looking for.
