This is what MGE user manual says: "As soon as the UPS is connected to power, the battery begins charging, whatever the On/Off switch position."
When I connect it to the AC, there is a 3 seconds continuous beep, accompanied with all LEDs lighting up. Manual says that the continuos beep means...
It's good in the sense that my PC doesn't restart when the AC is out, but AFAIK, good UPS devices use fan only when on battery power. Also, its battery running time is less than advertised, so I don't know if I should return it or not.
Your UPS and PC have to be connected, and Personal Solution Pac installed. Open the program, choose settings, shutdown criteria and shutdown configuration. AFAIK, in MGE Personal Solution Pac 2.51.02, you can only set 'Shutdown when timer reaches ? s' value, which would mean that you have to...
I bought a new MGE NOVA 1100 AVR UPS, and its fan is working even when the power switch is set to OFF.
There are few other issues with it, but this one concerns me the most. Anyone here knows the answer?

PSU came with the case. It is puny and I was looking at Enermax
EG365AX. Only thing I don't know is if I can mount it vertically (my
case is that way), since I found information that it is a horizontal
unit.
Thanks for putting my mind at peace, cause I thought that there
shouldn't be any...
I have a EC 200X (EuroCase 200W) power supply. For 3.3, 5 and 12 Volt
leads I have these values: 3.40, 5.05-5.15 and 12.07-12.37
(measurements taken using MBM 5)
As you can see, Voltage fluctuates in less than 3% range. How does it
affect hardware, particularly hard disk mechanics (CPU fan...
Some of you probably have CD RWs (CD burners). My gut feeling tells me
that I should go with TEAC'S CD-W540E (I already have Teac's CD ROM
and Floppy drive), but some people tell me that LG-8400B is a better
way to go. Undoubtedly, Teac's CD ROM drives are better than LG's
(Teac MTBF: 100,000...
hotfusion, I hope you're right. My fear is that my components will die
(something is roaring inside the case, my guess is PSU's fan). Because
of that fear I have APC E20-G surge arrest and an on-line UPS. This
particular Line Interactive UPS had AVR (Automatic Voltage
Regulation), but, thanks to...
My D825TM monitor should work on voltages between 220 and 240; my
power grid delivers between 194 and 253 Volts (Voltage vary during the
day). Is it damaging for monitor if voltages are less than 220, and is
it also damaging when they are more than 240? How it is manifested? By
the way, my...
Thank you all for your answers. I tempered something with those files
before and I had to reinstall my system - cause I probably did something I shouldn't have. That's way I was concerned about deleting them. Now I see that there are many ways to solve this problem.
Thanks again.
I'm using IE 5.5 on Windows 98 SE. Occasionally I delete Temporary
Internet Files (both automatically and manually) and history of
visited Web sites. Nevertheless, I noticed that there is a index.dat
in my Temporary Internet Files folder, which apparently has logged in
all the pages I ever...
