    Thanks Guys. It turns out the workbook was password protected. I had unprotected the worksheet but it wanted the whole workbook unprotected. Anyway, that second option, "Excel Add-in", has opened up a new world for me. I didnt realize that feature was there. Thanks you so much! Mark

    Hello I am trying to use an excel spreadsheet as my database. when I do so I get a message "Excel Driver Login Failed. Could not decrypt file". What do I need to do? and how? any help would be most appreciated. Mark
