Probs initializing disk..Win 98
As a follow-up, I got it solved. My old pc won't recognize drives over 8 gigs. HP won't release a firmware upgrade to see larger drives. I got hold of EZ BIOS and it formatted the drive to see all 30 gigs. wolluf, thanks for your help.- metro1

wolluf, no luck on the issue described above. The disk worked fine in the macintosh and the low-level format went all the way through.- metro1

Probs initializing disk..Win 98
I'm putting a 30 gig hard drive into a pentium 1 computer. It was taken from a Macintosh. When I boot up from the Win98 boot floppy, I can run fdisk, When I reboot the machine to format, the boot disk stops at a black screen, with the floppy drive light illuminated.
