In my case PC ALERT for MSI boards misreads the case temp when it's below 22c. It reads it as 78C but yet the cpu temp is only in the high 30's or low 40's(which is accurate). could this be your problem too? Was the room fairly cold when you read the temp? Just asking.
Right click on the top folder >Properties look to see if the check box on Read Only is checked or shaded and with a check mark. Uncheck it then do the same to on the subordinate folders. Should be able to delete then barring some other problem.
does it happen all the time or with specific programs open? My burner doesn't read or write to RW discs while I am using MusicMatch. Took awhile to figure out but now I know and I just have to close MM and it will work. A pain when I want to back something up quick though.
The reason they suggest acetone is b/c it will dissolve most anything, Nail polish remover is acetone. Just make sure you get it w/o anything else in it. The cleaner the better is my opinion.
