My report is coming from multiple data sources, each being displayed in a separate subreport and in different detail sections. Is there a way I can report dynamically on what source is being used? Obviously I can hard code the names, but that will be a hassle once I send a report to somebody...
Using CR 11 Pro connecting to Firebird/Interbase via ODBC. Unfortunately, the design was not mine - this is replication of an existing report. If there is a better way, I'd be happy to get some advice. The report is basically reporting on details of a customer quote. Then each subreport...
I need to put together a report that has one main detail section, then 7 subreports X 3 data sources that all refer to the main detail section.
1. Putting subreports in the same detail section has text from the the second subreport overwriting the text of the first, etc., since I couldn't see...
I am trying to run a crystal report (CR 11 pro) through another application that offers a command line prompt. No problem with that. I need to be able to pass parameters via the command line. Is this possible?
Using CR 9 Pro connected via ODBC to Oracle. For some reason some fields are getting rounded to the nearest dollar. This is not happening in other applications using the ODBC connection. Formatting the field shows it is formatted to use a setting with 2 decimal places.
thanks
I'm trying to link a field in the subreport called "udf1" to a field in the container report called "item number". I can't seem to get it to do this.
On the subreport links I marked the item_number as the field to link to (since this is what I want in the container report), but it wouldn't...
Sorry, I meant two things:
1. is it possible to create a stand alone report executable?
2. if possible, would there be a way to specify a different database source in that executable (meaning, if I have to build a report using a local copy of a database, then build an executable to deliver to...
Is there a way to save a report (8.5, 9 or 11) to an executable file, so I can deliver a report to somebody that does not have Crystal reports? Would there be a way to modify the target database in such a way?
I am trying to output a query that has some numbers to a CSV file. All the text fields get enclosed with double quotes and when I hit finish on the export wizard, I get an "invalid argument" error message, which is consistent with what I found on Microsoft...
I have a dynamic parameter that should be showing all "companies" from a database, so that the user can select a specific company to report on.
1. Not all the companies are showing up on this list. Is it limited to a given number? Can I change it?
2. Is there a way to filter companies on this...
Is there a way (CR 9, 10 or 11) to get a list of possible values for the user to select that are a database field's values, and have that be dynamic (refresh on every run). Meaning, I want to be able to have a drop down list of possible values that gets updated if extra values are added to the...
I have a spreadsheet that at some point began displaying
=SUM(E140) instead of calculating the actual formula. This is happening for a large number of cells in the spreadsheet (not one in particular). I have also seen this on other spreadsheets and cannot figure out how to get my sums back...
I need to report on a count of records on an Oracle DB using CR9 and/or CR11. This is to be a subreport as part of a report that is reporting on other things as well.
First I tried using Crystal SQL Designer and attach that qry file as a subreport, but it didn't like that.
Then I tried...
