Thanx Wullie, but my problem happens when I try to make an animated gif in ImageReady. I build the layers in Photoshop, then jump from within Photoshop to ImageReady and make the animated gif, but when I do tweening, I get the checkerboard pattern.
By the way, I really like your John Maxwell...
If you are making your tiffs as CMYK instead of RGB, they will look fine in PhotoShop, but UGLY in PM. However, they should print fine to a printer that can handle CMYK files. If you are printing to your own color laser printer, you don't need to make CMYK files though. RGB work great and are...
"Graphics" is a pretty general term, so you might want to be more specific about what you will be working on. However, in general, you should learn a good imaging program like PhotoShop and a good layout program like PageMaker or Quark. After that, take on an illustration program...
I have Photoshop 6. After building a file with layers, I can jump to ImageReady to make an animation. So this is a question for both programs really: When I "tween" from one frame to another, IR creates faded images, of course, but at least one of those images has a very obvious...
When I "tween" from one frame to another, IR creates faded images, of course, but at least one of those images has a very obvious grey/white checkerboard pattern. This is the same pattern you see in photoshop when you are looking at a transparent layer without the background showing...
Thanks. It turns out that a double onLoad was part of the problem. However, the other part was, I still couldn't get it to run until I detached the page from its template. It turns out that the "<!--BeginTemplat blah blah blah-->" is positioned in such a way as to place the onLoad...
Help! I'm attempting to place javacript into a DW page. It is a typical scrolling script where you put code in the HEAD of your html, then add an onLoad event handler into the BODY tag, and then put code into the Body of the document. It is a freebee script from JavaSource.
Anyway, it works...
When I place a second table below another, it jumps up to the right of the first table when viewed in both IE and NS. <BR> and <P> don't seem to do the trick. Neither does an invisible pix gif placed after the first table. I even tried nesting the two tables inside another table. The second...
I'm new to Dreamweaver, so this is probably an easy one. How do you create a rollover where the event (rolling over a button) happens in one location, but the action (showing a different, larger graphic) shows up in another location on the same page? I am wanting to have the roll-over of a...
In FH10 I cannot get a Transform Panel to show up. I can acces the transform tools in the tool panel, but I can't get a separate panel to show up that would allow me to specifiy more detailed info - like skewing by a certain number of degrees. I have clicked on the Windows/Panels/Transform...
I'm placing tables on my layout grid. The tables contain photos and text in different cells. I'm used to using tables for layout from my HTML days with HotDog6. Is there some reason that tables can't work on the layout grid? Most days it's fine, but then, on other days (maybe the planets are...
I get them too, infact my site is filled with those little green encrusted arrows that indicate bad links. Yet when I upload my files to the server, everything works. At first I thought it was because my index page is .shtml instead of .html, but that isn't it. Perhaps it's a bug in the...
