I tried to run the repair procedure from the WIN 2K CD, and it did not fix the problem. I basically reinstalled Windows and just before I installed EZ CD Creator 5(the cause of this problem) I created a Recovery Disk. Thanks for you helpful insights and suggestions. medford420

I tried pushing reset during the bootup process. Didn't seem to work. Is there a specific time that it needs to be pushed, say after the first drive gets initialized? I only have a video card and a soundcard (SoundBlaster Live! Platinum) installed currently. Could it have to with the drive...

By reset I assume you mean push the RESET button on the front of the machine. I will try it when I get home. Thanks. What is that meant to achieve?

I have an AMD950MHZ w/ ABIT KT7 mobo running windows 2000 professional. Everytime I boot up, the first time freezes before the all-powerful 'beep'. I turn off/on the power...it then boots just fine. Although this is manageable, I would like to fix it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have Windows 2000 Professional, and a SONY CD-RW 140ex (I think that is the correct name) drive. I also installed EZ CD Creator 5 and some Iomega drivers. And shortly thereafter, Windows doesn't put up an icon in Explorer. I can't access the drive basically. It tells me there is a Registry...

If I have a motherboard that supports 100/133 Mhz bus settings, and a CPU that has a max Front Side Bus Speed of 200 Mhz; will there be a problem? Thanks, medford420

STILL STALLING AT "Setup is Starting Windows 2000" when using floppy boot disks. It has something to do with the hardware configuration settings I think. ANY SUGGESTIONS!? PLEASE?! medford420

Thanks. The board is not set up for RAID. Also, I have misplaced my Windows 2000 manual...what is the best way to make the bootdisks without having the an operating system installed? medford420
