    I tried "detaching" the page from the template, but it still does not allow text selection in Netscape 4.7. It does not contain any CSS. It really does not matter that much that users cannot copy text, but I don't want to upset the user, either.

    Well, then, I'm half-way there! I do not have an internet connection for IE at work, so I must have just assumed that the selection was not working in IE. It definitely does not work in Netscape 4.7. (Netscape is also the problem browser for that anchor tag problem -- same project, in fact.)

    I have created some pages in Dreamweaver. The pages contain tables, but no frames and no layers. The pages have some javascripting to do rollover image swaps and to open smaller pop-up windows. The text on the pages cannot be selected in either browser. Why is this and how can I revise them...
