Hi,
We're in the process of upgrading from Remedy 4.0.3 to
5.1.2. We installed Remedy 5.1.2 and can use the admin
tool and the user tool. However the email engine doesn't
work. We're getting the following error:
Checking connection to server: homer ...
Cannot connect.

Hi,
I'm planning an upgrade to Solaris 8 and I want to know
if the following is correct for recovery to 2.6 (in the
case of disaster; root disk is c0t0d0s0 & tape is 2cn):
boot cdrom -s
mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /a
cd /a
ufsrestore rf /dev/rmt/2cn
rm restoresymtable
cd /usr/platform/`uname...
Hi,
I have a Solaris 2.6 system with an external tape drive
(/dev/rmt/2cn).
Will a single user boot from the CDROM leave me able
to use that external tape drive.
Regards,
Tony
Is samba-1.9.18p8 certified to run on Solaris 8? We have it
running on Solaris 2.6 at the moment and are upgrading to
Solaris 8.
Thanks in advance,
mcguinne
We are planning an upgrade to Solaris 8 from Solaris 2.6.
We have a metadevice defined via Disksuite. Will this
metadevice survive the upgrade, or will I have to redefine
it and restore the data?
Thanks in advance,
mcguinne
We have a Solaris 2.6 system and are planning to upgrade
to Solaris 8. In any documentation I have seen so far, the overall space requirement is mentioned and not the requirement for / and /usr filesystems. Does anyone have any idea about the space requirements for these two filesystems?
Thanks...
Hi,
My colleague and I have Win2K machines. Recently ftp to customer sites began to hang on my machine whilst working
perfectly from his machine. Could it be SP4? This was also installed recently on both machines.
Any ideas gratefully appreciated.
Regards,
Tony
Hi,
We dial in regularly to customer sites. About two weeks
ago I noticed that ftp was hanging in transferring files.
So slow that I had to get a colleague to ftp the release
to the customer machine. Both my colleague and I are using
Win2K SP4. The only thing that changed was the installation...
In the following code I am having trouble using the continue statement:
while ($more)
{
if (read IPFILE, $alarm, 10)
{
if (read IPFILE, $workorder, 8)
{
if (read IPFILE, $errcodes, 50)
{...
