Outlook Tasks
I received an answer to this offline that I thought I would share. Updates to assigned tasks are sent to you via email. You evidently have to open the update and close it again for the task in your task list to be updated.- mbrossar

Has anyone ever tried to synchronize tasks on a project schedule (in MS Project) with tasks in Outlook? It strikes me as a powerful tool.
