Has a solution been found to this? My system is getting an exact duplicate, in the word view, of the error listed above. It averages about every 3 days. It occurs so frequently that I have been unable to catch the events that occur before it starts. By the time I get to the event log it's...
When you dial them directly they ring with no answer. If you try to take local control of them the system responds with a string of error codes. I'm guessing this problem is a hardware failure of the four port card. Looks like it's time to spend some money.
Thanks!
Looks like it's not working again. If you try and access voice mail and you get ports 5-8 the phone displays CF NANS and rings without answer.
Any ideas?
I did a soft boot on the VM the first time and it did not make a difference. Eventually I did a hard boot on the VM and all 8 ports did come back online. I never did reboot the PBX. So the system is working now.
This is the first time this has happened in the 2 1/2 years we've been running the...
NEC 2000 IPS PBX
NEC AD-40 8 port Voice Mail
Voice Mail was having a problem this morning (port 8 was stuck on "PBX Lamp" and users were complaining about their vm lights not going out.) so I rebooted it. Now Ports 5,6,7,8 return a high pitched tone instead of the voice prompt "please enter...
Thanks dontworx and gmanatl! That appears to be exactly what I need. And I like the alert to 2 stations. I am definitly going to incorporate that. In fact I'm baffled as to why that feature wasn't enabled on the initial install.
On the specifics, I finally found the Numbering Plan Report. It...
This is probably ridiculously simple, but I thought I would check to see if there's a catch to watch out for.
Basically I want to change our outgoing line access number from 9 to 8 and I'm not sure exactly what all might be affected by the change.
Our equipment? A NEC NEAX 2000 being...
Thanks for the info. I was able to find SAMBA-2.0.7.0 which seems to work right from the install. Of course I have to fine tune the smb.conf file, but I got alot farther with that version than 3.0 or even 2.2.8.1
I tried installing RPM but it required a library that required another library to...
Thanks for the help.
I haven't found the bff package as of yet (that'd be too easy). I did find the rpm package on the IBM website. It's part of their Toolbox for Linux Applications. They say it's for AIX 5L, but the numbers match up.
readline-4.2a-1.aix4.3.ppc.rpm.
So I guess all I have...
I'm running AIX 4.3.3.0 R11 and I'm getting the same error with Samba 3.0.0.0 binaries from Bull. Has anyone found the solution for this? If not would I be better off to downgrade to Samba 2?
