We have a Netapp FAS2240 filer and are using iSCSI to connect to our Solaris 10 host. On the host we have 1gb network and 10gb data connectivity. 1gb and 10gb are on different subnets and I need to know how to setup iSCSI using 10gb data connectivity and not the 1gb network.
Thanks
Has anyone written a script in Perl for doing copy and renaming files...?
here's the scenario...
1) We have a mountpoint (/tmp/foo) in Solaris 9 (Server A) where a file gets created and this same mount point exist on Server B as a nfs "ro" mountpoint (/tmp/foo) . The script run every 30 minutes...
I'm running solaris 10 and trying to do a make on zabbix and it fails on the libraries. How do it make it see that the libraries do exist?
ld: fatal: library -lkvm: not found
ld: fatal: library -lresolv: not found
ld: fatal: library -lnsl: not found
ld: fatal: library -lkstat: not found

It worked and I thought of putting that additional network information, but does that mean that everytime I have to add a server I need to edit the file with the necessary info. Sorry this is my first time building a jumpstart server.
I created a jumpstart server and have the basic settings for host_class as a profile, sysidcfg and a rule file. After I do a boot net - install it goes thru the phases and after it finds the sysidcfg it goes to interactive mode. I'll attach all the necessary output and files. Also, I tested...
Sorry forgot to mention this was Solaris 9 and yes there are NFS mounted FS. I'll try to run .post from the ok prompt. Luckily I'm taking the box down to an ok prompt today.
Has anyone seen this error when rebooting a domain.
"message overflow on /dev/log minor #5 -- is syslogd(1M) running?"
Now to give an overview of how this error shows up. I log in to reboot the domain and do a simple init 6 and it start shutting down all the process but it hangs after it...
Figured it out. What was going on was that I was working on a zone in Solaris 10 and Config.pm was supposed to be rebuild on the main server. As soon as I rebuild it with the option mentioned above the Config.pm was there and it propagated to all the zones........
This box was built before I started. Anyways thanks for your help and suggestion. I have also tried to rebuild it by typing in perl -MCPAN -e shell, which is recommended to rebuild Config.pm but I can't even get cpan cli....
I tried just typing in cpan and the same error comes back and I already tried the second suggestion but can't save the file as it's only in read only mode. Tried ftp'ing and same thing.
Do I have to reinstall CPAN module to make it work?
