can anyone tell me what the usb port is for on these phones...
Some of our users have found them and want to plug them into their pc's
I cant find anyting in the optipoint manual or the realitis manual...
helper address's are dhcp relay address's ie
pc - router1 - router2 - dhcp server
the helper address would sit on the ethernet interface of router1 and passes any dhcp request to the defined dhcp server
(havent worked with routers for a while so someone may correct me)

I have recently started to recive the following snmp trap from a test 2940 to my test NMS (SNMPc) i guess it shows that my NMS is telneting to the 2940. I havent changed anything config wise and the test network is completely isolated.
Any suggestions why its started sending them, and...
Thanks, Thats what ive already worked out but just wondered if i can turn it off by default and just turn it on on certain ports (336 extra lines of config to turn the linkup/down off makes the config considerably larger)

I have a 6509 and i only want to monitor the status of the fibre ports in the supervisors but if i turn on linkup/linkdown in the snmp traps config it turn it on for all ports.
i can turn it off for all ports that i dont want with "no snmp trap linkstatus" but this makes the config...

Just a quick question regarding ACL's on catalsyt switches....
I need to create an access list for SNMP NTP and Telnet from restricted hosts... do they need to be in specific ACL list numbers or can i simply have access list 1 SNMP, access list 2 NTP etc

Obviously the db size would depend on the config size etc... but a rough size would be helpful...

My organisation is looking to get Ciscoworks 2000 for config up/download, inventory and other bits and pieces...
Could anyone tell me roughly how big the ciscoworks database is per device....... We have approx 350 plus devices and we just wanted to roughly size the server capacity/backup...
