Yeah, it worked! Just on a whim i tried making the ME boot diskette again and it worked sufficiently for me to update my bios with awdflash.exe. After i upgraded i plugged in the new processor and it booted fine (if you don't count the problem ive been having w/my sound card that is now fixed...

Turns out i have a M537DMA33 from PCChips or maybe some other manufacturer who decided to label there mobo as PCChips just to annoy me. Ive got a bios .bin file but i dont know how to install it yet cause i cant find a flasher for Linux and my Windows98SE startup disk won't read on any other...
