    Thanks, but what I need to know is what edition this new disk is. I don't want to install it if it is not second edition. I know that I have first edition on my computer now - how do I know if this new disk is first or second edition?

    I need to upgrade to Windows 98 second edition - I have a disk, but how can I tell what edition it is? It is copyright 1991-1998 and the part number is X04-04214. Is there someplace on the disk where it tells the version, before I install? Thanks! Mark
