VPN is certainly something we're interested in configuring for our office network. when i did my win2k mcse it went into some depth discussing how to set it up etc but it never mentioned speed issues at all.

We've just installed Norton internet security on 3 workstations and none of the workstations can now see each other for file sharing etc.

they can see the bios screen fine. they actually get to the windows desktop for a couple of seconds then the message appears.

i've managed to recreate the error on my dimension and the actual error is monitor generated (i.e. not a windows error).
on my dell flat panel monitor (the same as theirs) i can enter a menu and reset to factory defaults while the error is on screen. on theirs they cannot get the menu to come...
