NAS8000 and Windows Storage Server Question

    Q. Can devices based on Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 be used for tasks other than storage? A. No, these devices are specifically designed to be file servers with large amounts of storage capacity. They cannot be used to deploy business applications such as Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft...

I have a user whos mailbox has some trojan thats not seen by anti viru

I would think a process of elimination would be best, before drastic measures. Get the user (or do for him) to archive his entire mailbox to pst(s). Delete the mailbox and recreate. Rebuild the desktop and try to access to new mailbox. If everything goes ok, you can then open a copy of the .pst...

VPN attempts to connect when browsing using ie6

Have you checked if IE6 is set to use a proxy server that is on your VPN connected network (same place - connections, then 'lan settings')?

Setting up 2 locations with different TCP/IP settings on the same PC.

You dont mention the O/S being used but have a look at the TCP/IP properties for your LAN connection. There is a tab called 'alternate configuration' (XP). You can set a second set of IP details here so that if the Laptop is not on one network, it will try the other config instead. Hope that helps.

Home TCP/IP Networking with two routers

May I suggest you try a slight variation. Connect the modem to the Linksys and have that router as your gateway router. Have the linksys assign DHCP addresses. You should configure the Dlink with a static LAN IP in the same range as the Linksys. Dont setup DHCP on the Dlink. Connect one of...

    Migrating Lotus mailbox Archives

The exchange migration wizard (free with exchange) can read the mail archive in and create a .pst file. I did it as a test one time by putting the archive on the server and then changing the person doc that the archive was the users mailfile. This was done on a test system that wasnt running the...

    Domino/Notes 5 quota enforcement

We had Domino 6.x on the server and Notes 5 clients at one point and still had the quota issue you describe. When the clients went to 6.x also, the quotas were enforced correctly. Actually it was only when we replaced the mailbox design with iNotes6 template and had the 6.x client.

    Mac to IP Resolving

Not the answer to your question and I dont know if it will help at all, but 'angryipscanner' is an open source ip utility that you can view and download the code for. Maybe it will save you some development effort or give you some ideas? http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=25534 HTH
