check the dir from where you have run this command. if you can't specify the path bydefault it will save on the current location from where you run the command. Otherwise you specily the location.

Both nic can't communicate eachother as you surely setup private IP's for lan & surely you have a live IP for you'r WAN Connection. SO the mb is not used on the lan untill or unless you have configured NAT .
