Thomas,
Thank-you very much for responding to my plea! Unfortunately, I'm very inexperienced at anything even remotely programming-like. Could you give me further instruction on making this "macro", or point me in the direction of some instruction in this matter?
Again, thank-you very much.
I want to know if it is possible to lock a record as read-only once it has been created? Basically, I'mtrying to create a "Suggestions" database for people to submit their ideas about our company. I want everyone to be able to read other entries, but not edit them, but they must be able to...
I have found this to be either a mouse driver issue, but more usually it's a video driver issue, especially after replacing a PS/2 mouse with a USB mouse. Update the video drivers and see if that doesn't solve the problem. Otherwise, it might be time for a new video card.
WinXPHome cannot connect to a domain, so if your office network is a domain you might have trouble creating a VPN connection, or once created, you might have trouble communicating to anything on the office LAN because you are not authenticated and don't get an IP from your DHCP.
I saw a similar thread to mine, which received nothing but sarcastic response, therefore, I'm posting a similar issue hoping for some constructive responses.
I am helping a friend who setup his new office this way:
Two Compaq Presario 2500's (integrated wireless) with XP connected to a Linksys...
Definitely a memo field. I think we've tried about every way possible, including the one you've mentioned. The only thing that gave us an editable text was to highlight the text in the memo field and copy/paste it into a Word document. But that is too clunky and not amenable to automation...
Thanks for your reply. Being something of a novice with Approach, could you direct me to some resources detailing the method you've outlined? That would be a huge help. Thanks.
I want to automate the export of a Memo Field into a MS Word document that would then be editable. My problem currently is that the Memo Field is exported as an image and is therefore uneditable. Is there a workaround for this problem? I'm using Approach 9.5 and Word 2000. Thanks
Thanks for the reply, JimBob1! I was a little confused, though. Do I need to add the entire registry key for both of these? If not, exactly what do I need to add? Also, which setting are you recommending for fixing my particular problem, 0 or 1?
Thanks again for your reply!
I just had a user who was able to send but not receive emails do a ping and they all timed out. I've suspected DSL performance as the problem because I know the bandwidth issue with Exchange/Outlook in corporate mode. But that seemed too easy a fallback, so I wanted to check everything else...
I'm ready to tear my hair out with the inconsistent
performance of Outlook over a VPN on DSL. The VPN works
fine, but even though I establish a tunnel, often Outlook
returns a "network problems are preventing a connection to
the Exchange server". I have an NT4 network, though...
