Turkishgold, I think you first need to decide what you want to do. If it's hardware, A+ and similar certs are good. If it's desktop and server support, I'd look into getting your MCSE. Or if networking interests you, try for the CCNP. I don't have a formal computer degree, but did get my certs...- maggical1

Career Decision Help Needed
Tarkus2, if you can get a school to place you, that MAY be the way to go. I'm skeptical however. When they put you in a internship, how long does it last, does the time schedule match yours, is it only 2 hrs/wk, etc. Even if you could afford to go that route, I don't think I'd trust them. How to apply Group Policies to individual users
I'm attempting to apply a Group Policy to an INDIVIDUAL user or group. I have no problem creating a Group Policy but don't now how to have it apply to a specific user or group. This is to be used on a laptop and I don't want it to be part of AD. HELP PLEASE!- maggical1

Policy editor / group policy / poledit for Win 2K Professional
From run menu, type gpedit.msc. Under User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Desktop, enable "Hide all icons on desktop". However, the problem with this is that it applies to ALL users that logon. I'm joining this forum to see how to get around this, and have it apply only to...- maggical1
