    Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

    I was having the same error for some time and tried many of the solutions suggested by Veritas and Dell. After replacing the SCSI controller, drivers, and controller BIOS settings, I finally replaced all SCSI cables, and I get no more errors! None of the event id codes indicated the cable...
