Thanks - I looked through there - and really couldn't find anything that helped :-( Each time I try and do the update - it gives me the error 1328 and different PT etc files it can't find. I think it's possessed :-(

I did check that error 1328 - and all the information it gave me. Checked the product numbers etc and all are correct....better be or the stores getting it back!! This site you gave is - well - whew - not sure it's worth all this. This is confusing to say the least :-( I'll try and look through...

Hmmm not sure if I had cleaned out the temp before or after installing office xp pro. I know I cleaned it out again afterwards. Just tried installing again - this time it said Error 1328 can't find PTA6.tmp Thanks

I was having problems with Office 2000 (now sorted out) before it was - I installed Office XP Pro - got it activated\registered by calling MS okay - but when I went to windows update it won't do the SP1 - says it can't find C;\Config.Msi\PT9FE.tmp This is one Xmas gift I'm not so pleased with...

After uninstalling and reinstalling it - and getting the same thing.....I read those you sent me - the 2nd one was help. I went into the control panel to mail - removed the old profile and that did it. I'm so new to windows 2000 - sorry about all this. THANKS :-)

No haven't installed these. This is driving me cuckoo :-)) Just got rid of all the hotfixes in add and remove programmes and it's still duoing it. All the other office programmes open great...except Outlook, sometimes it will get to stay open a couple of seconds till it's loaded and then 'poof'...

Thanks looked there - (I'm using windows 2000) I don't have setup security menu. Nowhere do I see permissions - help :-)

I did the updates to Office 2000 yesterday - before this everything worked great. Now Outlook cannot open - when I click on it - it flashes up and then disappears!! I did all the required updates - service packs etc. Hope someone knows what is going on here. Thanks

I am using 5.11 - I've been told to stay away from 5.2 - too many problems with it :-(

Thanks for your reply. 'Show MDI task Bar' has always been checked - so something else went amiss. Very odd isn't it?

Eudora has lost the incoming mailboxes that show along the bottom when mail arrives - that have been filtered into separate mailboxes - how do I get these back? Thanks

I bought a TDK 32x10x40 CDRW - using EZ CD Creator (updated for XP) version 5.1.104 - it will record and read sessions from a CDRW disc but not from a CDR disk. The CDR showed up empty and you can see it's been recorded. Any clues? My old HP 9100i works okay in 98SE, but the TDK does the same...
