I am trying to get to the bottom of javascript object, prototypes etc.
I have a fairly good grasp of it, but I get confused the closer I get to the base object.prototype.
First of all, I was under the impression that all objects descend directly from Object. But some objects (like Array) seem...
I have been having this problem for months now and I have patiently searched the net for a solution as well as tried several things myself. So I hope someone outthere knows how to solve this.
When I do a search in google images, the page loads, but the thumbnails never show. This happens in all...
Hello,
I need some help and/or advice.
Much is said about rendering quotes around <q>-elements even in regard to multi-languages.
A pure CSS solution is not viable at the moment because "quotes" and "content" are not supported by some browsers. Besides, the CSS-spec itself states:
And this is...
Too bad,
I can't cut the power to the drive that way because I have tasks running that wake the computer up during the night and those need that external drive (for back ups).
Do you think it is bad for the drive to remain spinning?
I finally got vista to work properly with (hybrid)sleep only to find that my external USB hard disk (an old laptop hd connected via usb cables) keeps spinning.
Is there a solution to this? (I checked "power options" for the disk in hardware manager, but there are none)
I am guessing I get these messages because something goes wrong when the BIOS tries to read the SPD.

Oh hang on, I get you...it doesn't matter if I remove the boot from the drive does it, if bios decides it wants to boot from it, it will try anyway...hmmm. So it is a bios problem like you said.
I'll see if there is an updated bios on MSI-site and see if that helps.
Thanks for the reply,
Yes, I double checked the BIOS settings.
Most settings retain their value, but some seem to "reset" somehow.
I have had problems with it from the start though even replaced the battery. It is not a very big issue as most of the times it is allright. Just sometimes it boots...
I have a desktop with a SATA primary harddrive running Vista Premium x64.
I have connected a laptop harddrive to this system via USB. This I use for storage. I formatted the drive and there is a huge amount of data on it right now.
The problem is, every now and then, the system tries to boot up...
If there is no user at the keyboard, but there is a program running which saves or reads from the hard disk (like defragmenting, backing up, downloading) does Vista see that as being idle or not?
In other words, is hard disk activity enough for Vista to NOT go into hibernation?
Hi,
I live in Turkey, and unfortunately some websites are blocked down here.
Using web proxies is not really an option as they are slow and more often than not cannot handle flash/java stuff.
So I was wondering if I could use my domain (which has 24MB space, 1Gb traffic and is based in another...
