i think this is too much for me!
ultradev said to select the database u want the data to come from--done
then select the table from the access databse in ultradevs 'databinding' table so they link to the fields on the ultradev screen-done
BUT every other table selected from my access...
the SQL statments is
SELECT * FROM Order
this is why i'm confused? i've done some SQL programming and i can't see anything wrong.
i value your advice and will start studying the code but wanted to see what the finished product looked like.

no, the clause was never created by myself-i selected the table i want my records to come from the pull down menu. so i'm assuming the SQL satement is SELECT FROM * order or something like that
as a said if i selected one of the other tables from the pull down menu,then press 'test' button they...
i'm a new user and followed a tutorial every step of the way untill i went to insert the recordset and it give the error

but the from clause is simply insert all??

i had saved the design layout in a seperate file so i've just add new buttons with the command to run the particular query and this time it let me save it --yippeeee

help! trying to put in an overall aggerate function in the footer of my report but they alway give the response.
i'm using a text box but changing the control source to something like =Count([OrderID])
well do they? i've got a query that counts the no of items delivered in a particular sailing which i based a report on. i grouped it by port and it looks well but i'd likean total at the bottom at gives the over-all total of items delivered.....soooo...do i need to set up a new query to include...
i really really wanted a macro that would move a record to an archive file to eventually be delete to prevent little whoopsies but i'm very opened minded and up 4 anything so feel free to suggest anything (marco related of course!) :-)
