Please ignore the last part of my reply to Roxy. I have solved my own problem. The imported still image had too high a resolution, giving a file size of 1.19Mb. I reduced the resolution to 72 pixels per inch from 200 and all now works fine.- loubush

Hi Roxy, As I only use "Single-Track Editing" and not the "A/B Editing" which uses three tracks of the Timelane namely Video A, Video B, and the transitions track, which is what you appear to be using, my answer may be of little use to you.
