Ok, guys.
1. I've already checked the linksys website, there are currently no firmware updates for my router.
2. I have set the port fowarding as you have suggested, ironwill. I will monitor the situation and report results tomorrow.
the three applications are : AOL IM, MSN, and Yahoo.
i have attempted to foward the port for the AOL (port 5190)
and this seems to have helped on one computer, but the others are still experiencing the same issues. i can't seem to find port information for either MSN or yahoo.
I am currently running three computers in the house, two of the connected via ethernet cable, the other via a wireless ethernet card to mt router, connected to the internet via Verizon DSL.
My problem is, I constantly lose connectivity of three different instant messenger systems on all three...
Very ture indeed. XP is a memory hog. I have an Inspiron 8100 with 512 mem and R5 loaded, have no performace problems at all. this might be you only option.....
sorry, there is no way that i know of to change the name of a file below the graphic icon of an attached file. ( i ahve tried many tiems to do so ) it seems that you would first have to change the filename BEFORE attaching it.
there is alos a possibility that you r local replica has become corrupt ( i see this at least twice a day ).
if other options don't work, i would suggest :
1. compacting your workspace.
this can be done by righ-clicking on an empty spot on the notes workspace, and choosing "workspace...
sorry for the double post, but the location document is in the lower right-hand corner of the notes screen, right above the system clock. there will be a word such as "office" or "connected", etc. click on that work, you will see and option for "edit current" this...
on the user's pc, in lotus, got to "file, mobile, edit current time/phone" there is an option to change the date and time there. i've had several users with a similiar problem, they were all fixed this way.
all you can do, is place a check mark nect to each duplicate memo, and then hit the delete key..this will mark all selected files as trash in one fell swoop.
There are no workarounds. Everything on the left had side of the screen are simply different "views".....documents can be, and are usually able to be seen in different folders at the same time.
this problem is due to your PAB becoming corrupt. in order to resolve, you will have to :
1. compact workspace
2. replicate a new copy of the PAB
3. delete old copy of PAB
4. point notes to use new copy.
this should clear up the problem.
