it's not the spooling from a queue that's a problem. having a queue is actually OK because the app i'm using (FaxPress) can only print to a traditional netware queue. the problem i'm actually trying to get around is that when multiple NDPS printers service a traditional queue, the load isn't...
i know with traditional netware queues, you could have multiple printers servicing a queue, thereby splitting the load across multiple printers. is there a way to do the same thing with NDPS without having to use traditional queues?
i don't have much experience with merlin magix systems, but i've been thrown at this problem since i'm the only person in the company with telecom experience. i haven't touched one of these systems since it was called merlin legend.
anyway, this site i'm configuring is our short-term disaster...
I have a mission-critical laserjet 8150 that occasionally goes off-line when it goes in to powersave mode. therefore, when it receives a job, the printer does not exit powersave and print.
does anyone know what the cause of this may be?
thanks!

Try Bay Copy and Data in Tampa, FL. We use remanufactured cartridges from them all the time. They may not carry remans for a 3500, but it's worth a shot if you're really that desperate.

Oh, sorry. I misintrepreted what you were asking in your first question.
Do you have the paper type (not size, type) set to ANY? Based on what I read in the manual, you need to specify the paper type.
Change tray 1 mode from casette to first. This will cause the printer to always from from tray 1 first if there is media loaded in it, regardless of the paper type specified on the printer or in the print job.
I have 2 network cards in a 5si. I want the plain-text print jobs sent to one network card to come out on the face-down tray and the print plain-text jobs sent to the other network card to out out on the face-up tray.
The print jobs come from a mainframe application I have no control over, so I...
In your system try, right click the red N and pick Novell Client Properties. On the default capture tab, uncheck "Form Feed".
Also, in the printer properties on the computer, there is also a "Form Feed" check mark on one of the tabs. I don't remember which one, and I don't have a printer...
I have three 8000's that jam only when feeding from tray 3. The page stops before it reaches the PS1 registration sensor below the toner cartridge. I have to open the right door to remove the page. After I clear the jam, sometimes it will print one page and jam on the second page, leaving the...
i think you want CBWFQ. that will allow you to set up an access-list to select the Citrix traffic and give it at least 64k. the rest of the traffic gets WFQ, as described above.
