Hi,
It is possible that the winsock is corrupt. Have you sued any malware removal tools on the XP Home server or clients recently?
Anyway assuming the XP Home server is SP2 try this command:
netsh winsock reset
If it isn't SP2 try installing it.
You might also like to try disabling your...

Hello,
I am installing a Windows 2008 Terminal Server into our infrastructure where we already have a Windows 2003 Terminal Services Licensing Server.
Will the 2008 Terminal Server use the 2003 licensing server and exising licenses or do I need to install a new 2008 Licensing Server and...
Hi Balin,
Aside from the driver issues you mention are you sure your freezing, crashing issues are not software related. If the problem lies within the OS then you will just move the problem elsewhere.
Building a new server and testing the migration of ACCpac would be much better solution.

By default, the Catalog.wci directory is created on your Web server during the installation of Microsoft Index Server. You can usually find the catalog directory under the InetPub directory on the drive where you installed IIS.
The function of the Index Server is to provide a method for clients...

Can you browse between the DC and Exchange server i.e. \\servername\c$ or by \\server_ip_address\c$
You may be best as you say...

Hi,
Firstly is the servers disk and RAID sets ok? i.e. no red lights on disks at front. If so your data is probably still intact on the drives.
I expect one of these fixes has caused a problem with the drivers used by windows or altered the boot files.
If you have a bootable CD with the SCSI...
Hi,
Check in ESM the location of the log files for that database (public - pub.edb) and the priv.edb databases. Check the ntbackup and restore the log files assuming they exist.
Otherwise you could try eseutil /p on the datbase that won't mount.
Hi Paul,
You should try perfoming a normal Disaster Recovery of the server i.e. Build server with same name, join to domain (NB you can reset the account in the domain in ADUC rather than delete it). Install exchange using the /disaster recovery switch and then the service pack with the...
