ipconfig /all to see all dns adapter info
ipconfig /release all adapters
ipconfig /renew renew all adapters
Other wise at start / run (type in) winipcfg
and ok
You can release the ip's and get a new lease. you also may see what DNS is used by your adapter...

I ping a host URL and it returns the IP. but when I try to get the decimal conversion from the IP it is in reverse order..

After the decimal conversion it will be: 012.789.456.123
when converted back from the decimal form to the IP.

Try this: go to start menu / settings / control panel / add/remove programs.. select Microsoft internet explorer 6 sp1 and remove it..a dialogue box should come up with 3 choices.. you will want to do a repair on IE6..
When sp3 was run there should have been a check box to backup the old system settings on the install.
try to use the remove program function, and see if the sp3 is listed for removal..

If you have no beep on boot up, than something is stopping the boot process. a bad ram module, a defective power supply, a hard drive going out.
