    Word 100% CPU on startup and shutdown

    For the record, a corrupted template did me in. In my case, CPU usage went to 100% on opening Word documents. After searching for all templates, I deleted normal.dot (and it's variants) as well as pdfmaker.dot and it's variants located in various Adobe folders. This did the trick for me. Bryan
