    MIB for ISDN

All, I need to find out how many ISDN calls a router (little 1600) is making every day. This is for non-technical people to look at and I don't want them logging onto any of the network kit. I'm looking at using mrtg to graph the calls, but I need to know what OID/MIB I should set it looking...

Windows Load Balancing over 2 switches

The ports have nothing special on them and are connected as simple "port-fast" ports. The switches both come off one of our core switchs (4507) which currently is only running L2. There are 2 servers, both of which have dual teamed cards on the lan over the 2 switches, then they have dual...

Windows Load Balancing over 2 switches

All, One of our server team has configured a box for "windows load babalcing" over 2 switches. The switches aren't doing anything clever, just standard L2 stuff. Problem is, that the server falls off line every 30 mins or so, and the server team has to reset the card. His configuration is...

    Load balance over 2 routers

Howdy, If you have 2 routes to somewhere and you were using eigrp, eigrp will put them both in it's topology table. It will use one and keep the other as standby. If you use the variance command and the max-paths command, you can tell it to load balance over the two. Hope this helps, LH

    Load balance over 2 routers

I would set up HSRP for the single default gateway with redundancy. Then I'd use the variance and max-paths commands in the eigrp setup. Variance will allow a greater FD to be used in the routing table, max-pathes will tell the router how many paths it can have to a destination. Hope this...

    console into nortel baystack 350-24t

Hi there, Your consloe settings look fine, for normal use. However, they may not be set to that on the switch. When you are conected and you powercycle the switch, do you get any response at all? (do you see anything on the screen?) If you see a little bit of something, the baudrate could be...

    Running Surf Control on ISA

All, I am going to implement Surf Control onto my ISA Server. Has anyone done this before? Is there anything I need to know? What do I need to do with the routing? Any wisdom would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Leigh H

VOIP timeout on Cisco 2600 Series

Howdy, Not too sure why this is falling over. But, it's always best to start from the ground up, so I suggest making sure the physical is working correctly. Set a constant ping going and log it to a server over night (whilst running the call), you should then be able to see if the line dies...

    Cisco 2610XM Configuration Help

Hi there, There are two ways that you could do this, the easiest way would be to put an access list on the t1 interface to only allow those specific ip addresses through. The other way to do it would be use policy based routing, using set and match commands, to send anything that matches those...

All, How would I go about configuring an ARN to act as a trunk link to provide interVLAN rouing for my 450 switch? Any help would be much appreciated, Cheers LH

    G703 module in ARN

Hey all, I've got to install a G703 card into an ARN this weekend, removing the serial module that's in there. I've been warned that the router is going to ask me a multitude of questions regarding the new module. What information do I need to know for the installation of the new module...

    ISDN 64k to 128k

Just to let you know that this wan't a configuration issue. Our "honest" service provider said that it was a 2B+1D. That was until I demanded they send someone out to site to test it, who told me a different tale.... There was only 1B channel... LH
