Full to incremental

We changed our backup schedule on our server from full daily backup to incremental daily because of capacity issue. Now the problem is it won't take the daily tapes that we've used before for our full daily backup. The error it was reporting is that the tape is already full.

BE 8.6 doesn't write on tape from media set

Solved it! Backup on two tapes won't work because I found out that we are backing up 60GB of compressed data therefore in effect we have more than 360GB of data. I excluded the 60GB compress and got the backup going.

    Won't take second tape

THANKS ALL ... I got our Saturday Full-backup going without error. I analysed the data we are backing up and it turned out that we are backing up 60GB of compressed data. Therefore two tapes (100/260GB) won't hack it. I read somewhere in this forum that the first number in the backup tape...

    Won't take second tape

BE 8.6 doesn't write on tape from media set

Hi madmarco, What did you mean with ">>>>>>This 1st tape again!" ? We uses two tapes for our "Saturday full weekly backup" and we backup approximately 300GB. AAY602 is the first tape of the series and AAY601 is second tape. As soon as AAY602 is full, the tape drive picks...
