    Hi Steveuk, no. normaly the incl. Battery holds the Symm for 3 Mins. to write down the Cache and spin down all drives. I think your Battery is broken, its happend several Times in the last years. Greetz, Olli.

    What to do after creating new EMC device

    Hi hugonovo, try "/usr/sbin/devfsadm" and after this normaly you see the new Disk on Host, if the VCM Database is correct. You dont have to reboot. I tryed this often on Solaris 5.8. Greetz, Olli.
