Hello All,
We've been looking at the following for many hours, and can't seem to find the root cause....
Remote PCs using XP-pro can dial-up to our RRAS server, get an IP, but can only communicate with the...
Make sure you applied the O/s patch on the exchange server and the server has the correct time.
I had to kick start the time zones on exchange 5.5 by changing the time zone to something different apply then quickly change it back to the right time zone and apply.
After that messages were time...
I believe if you made the app't after having the O/S DST patch installed locally the app'ts show up correctly. Those made before will show up 1 hr late.
Quick question...
- I have completed my O/S updates to all desktops and servers except Exchange 5.5 box
- I have sent out instructions for all users to manually update app't in the delta period.
- On Sunday 2:00am I will manually move the clock forward on Exchange.
- On April 1st I will...
Yes, I think it is. I'm just trying to get the log file off my test box to post here.
No I didn't get it from MS. I got it from someone who works for a very big and important organization (I can't discuss that here for obvious reasons). It did not come with any doc or information that's why...
Has anyone heard of a 5.5 hotfix KB928214? I got a file that's supposed to be a CDO.dll hotfix update for Exchange 5.5.
I ran it on a test 5.5 box and it updates. I can see the log file and it hits cdo.dll. Although, it references this KB number I cannot find it ANYWHERE! Not even on the...
Hello all...
Well I got it mounted.... started from scratch.
I think the issue I had was that after I did the exchange 2000 setup /disasterrecovery, I ran the SP4 update.exe WITHOUT the /disasterrecovery switch.
I did this and it worked like a charm!
Thanks to all for your relpies / support!!!!

I install Windows 2000 with NNTP and IIS

Hello all,
I am trying to stop a specific site on iis. I do not want to stop the www service, just a specific site.
Can this be done via command line?
Any help would be great.
Thanks! Yes I now see what the problem is. The two servers are not in the same domain. Both services are running of the local admin account.
Without setting up trusts, I think my easiest solution is to create two identical accounts, same password. This should allow me to cross the domains...
Hello all..
I am trying to backup to a remote folder on another computer. I've tried \\servername\sharename and also mapping the remote directory.
SQL backup does not seem to recognize either.
Any way of backing up (not using tape) to a NON-local drive?
Thanks
With all the spoofing going on these days, can you configure Exchange 2000 to block any inbound emails that have an internal email (@mydomain.com) address as the "sender" BUT not having the IP of your exchange server?
