1.Have you checked the jumper settings on your harddrives?
Make sure you've made one the master and one the slave.
2.You may not have an adequete power supply.
On some programs/applications mainly games, even if you have the correct drivers the mouse still won't work. But yeah you would be best to just get a USB mouse to avoid the hassle of it all!!! :)
