How about people who end e-mails with "... If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call John Smith or myself." It's likt the "My boss took my wife and I to dinner" scenario. You would say "If you have any questions, please don not hesitate to call myself", so why would you say...

I would follow up each assigned task (especially ones you disagree with) by an e-mail so you have it in writing. Copy his boss and say something like - "I just want to clarify that your directions are such-and-such. I'd like to reiterate again that I disagree with that method, and I think...
