user-defined selection in the backupexec backup selection generated the same error message as before. So, I am going to set my backup selection list back to the Buffalo Terastation's netbios name. Ok, I am testing this solution tonight. I will update this post to let you know the answer. I read on another forum that you could create user-defined selections for Buffalo Terastations. This would solve the issue of failing backups when the remote agent is missing. If this does not work I...- klittrell
