ok then, it is not a scheduled job. i deleted the job definition and everything and yet....
Sunday it ran anyway! from where, i have no idea. this is my dilema. no job definition in BE at all for this job and still it happens.

I'm not even sure what an at scheduled job is. So, quite possibly! I tried everything I was told to try so far but to no avail. I'm not even sure that it's Backup Exec that is causing the backups. It could be something in the OS (Windows 2k) or in Microsoft Exchange Server.

I do have that on and I even scheduled a job to run just to see if it would show up, which it did.

Do you know anything about Microsoft Exchange Server? If so, do you think it could be something in there that is triggering the backup?
Yes, exactly. There are nothing to show a backup is scheduled under the activity tab. Normally, if something is scheduled to run, it will show what and when. This shows nothing there. It just runs! The other thing it might be is something in the exchange server itself. I have been doing research...

I did look at that tab but I thought that maybe if I deleted that job, I would not be able to make the manual backup later. I don't mean to be stupid so please bare with me, but, what you're saying is that once that "job" is deleted, I'll still be able to manually...
