I did find out a little more.
They are running Windows 2003 with RAID 6. The OS is installed on the raid volume. She's already reinstalled with os and the system is seeing the raid volume.
You are right.. I need to go there and look at things.
I know very little about RAID 6... is it...
I'm remotely (telephone) helping a user with a Windows Server 2003 issue. Their server crashed (several times) due to power failure (and UPS failure). Windows Server needed to be reinstalled.
From what I understand, they have a RAID 6 volume. I'm not sure, yet, if the OS was on that volume or...
I have confirmed the rights at the higher levels.
I created a user not using the template and it still gets too much rights.
I've reviewed all groups/apps/profiles to see if the rights are somehow being granted that way.
Tomorrow I will run dsecure and see if I can find anything there.
Profiles...
The restrictions placed in netware doesn't seem to be active. Users are restricted by groups. they are NOT part of the supervisor group. I've reviewed all the groups that the standard users are part of and the groups do not show supervisor rights yet, users seem to have supervisor access to...
Our C750 gets an 900 service error - RIP error
The secondary information reads:
Adjust interrupt too soon -- check engine connection
We've been told, by a service technician, that this is a printer driver error and is common with PDF files.
We get this error with non-pdf files (i.e. excel) so...
The only difference between the two groups is the age.
If the age is greater than 8, the report has a sort/group by resulting score and shows the resulting score and the placing (first place, second place, third place, etc.)
If the age is below 9, the final score is not shown but, there is a...
I have two slightly different reports. Both are results reports but, one is for one type of result and the other report is for another type of result.
Basically I'm trying to run one type of report on a group of people over a certain age requirement and run another report if the group of...
Currently on Netware 6.5 running Novell Client 4.91 sp3
Windows XP pro sp2
Zenworks for desktop 7 sp1
when users go to change their passwords (whether or not passwords have expired on netware - they are not set to expire on windows), they get the error "incorrect old password given on <tree...
Our "expert" was doing work on the network and since then, we are unable to get good backups since Arcserve is backing up our novell server at 6mb/min... and, needless to say, our network is very slow.
As of yesterday, this is what has happened:
SERVER:
4-10-2007 1:06:10pm: SERVER-5.70-4631...
O.K. why is this a closed network - security reasons. Are they paranoid... yes! They have always had a "closed" network and probably will always have one. If they require outside communication, they use a firewall and a dedicate line. To me, does it make any sense to abandon a client...
My client has a windows 2003 server on their novell network. This network is a closed network and in no way will they EVER allow the network to be connected to the internet. I would like to install windows servers update service... any idea how to do this without an internet connection...
Thanks terry712 and marvhuffaker
I've found the fix and here is it.
Look for folder C:winnt\system32\gpInUse on the workstation you are running ConsoleOne on. If it's there, rename it
I'm guessing but, I beleive my standard user policy has become corrupt. While reviewing the policy, Console One crashed. Ever since then, I am unable to open the policy. Says it is being edited (or in use) by another user. Yes, I have confirmed.. no other user is accessing the policy. Is...
