timeout delay between entering phone number digits

Is there a programming option to allow a longer delay between entering digits when dialing a phone number? I have multiple users whose phone sets "time out" when they have a small delay (a couple seconds) in keying digits (such as long international numbers where they are looking over at a phone...

Headset jack disables handset on M7310?

Syquest, Your explanation does not work! When you press the handsfree/mute button, all it does is mute the mic on the headset; press it again and it "unmutes" the mic. The handset is completely disabled (and speakerphone, for that matter) when headset is plugged into the headset jack. When a...

Headset jack disables handset on M7310?

Is there a way (button/key, feature code, etc) to switch between headset or handset when both are plugged into the back of the M7310 set? It seems like handset is completely disabled when headset is plugged in (this is without using a separate adapter)...

Headset jack disables handset on M7310?

So, you cant just plug the headset into the headset port and still be able to use the handset when you want to? What's the point of the headset jack, if I'm forced to use an adapter in the handset jack? The headset does work in the headset port, but it seems to disable the handset completely...

Headset jack disables handset on M7310?

Once a headset (in this case Plantronics unamplified) is plugged directly into the headset port of MICS 6.x M7310, it seems to disable the handset, so phone functions "default" to the headset jack. Is there a way to alternate between using handset or headset w/o having to physically unplug the...

Message for you appear on multiple sets

MICS 5.0 s/w with PRI DID's. I have extension 1920 setup in office and extension 1930 setup in his lab (same user) - he only wants one phone number for both his sets. So, I have 1920 also appear/ring on the lab extension of 1930 (I have physically removed any physical indication of extension...

Suppress audible ring from 2nd incoming call

I have Norstar MICS 6.0 with PRI w/ DID's target lines programmed to extension of set. Each set has 2 intercom/DID keys. Is there any way to suppress the constant audible ringing of another call coming in (until rolls to vmail 2-6 rings later) when already on a call? This ringing interferes when...

CallerID info displaying on 2nd incoming call

I have Norstar MICS 6.0 with PRI w/ DID's target lines programmed to extension of set. Each set has 2 or 3 intercom/DID keys. Any call coming in to a set displays callerID info and continues to display when on that call. Is there a way to see the CallerID info of the 2nd (or 3rd for that matter)...

routing table using 9000-9199 or 9200-9399 DID range

MarvO is right on this, we go so caught up in talking about received digits forgot what my real problem was and that was dialing out using a "9" access code and still have 9xxx DID's. Sounds like you can't really do it without manually programming around every extension in the routing...

routing table using 9000-9199 or 9200-9399 DID range

Question to salo0920's response: Say my DID's are 9000 thru 9199 and I have the carrier send me 8000 thru 8199 instead, as you suggested. Are you saying that the programming would require to change the DN of a target line, such as target line 170, to the correct internal extension DN, such as DN...

routing table using 9000-9199 or 9200-9399 DID range

Can anyone help on building a routing table for outbound calls when receiving 4-digits on PRI from telco for a block of 200 DID's in the range of 9000 to 9199 or 9200 to 9399. I tried getting a different range (I always request no 0xxx or 9xxx), but this is all they had in this case. System is...

VMI's can't do trunk to trunk transfer?!?!

Both the Octel and Norstar allow t2t xfer, it appears the VMI's do not. Does your system use the Norstar VMI's (voice mail interface modules) for the signal path between the switch and the vmail system?

VMI's can't do trunk to trunk transfer?!?!

Does anyone know how to work around problem of VMI's not allowing trunk to trunk transfers? System config: MICS 6.0 s/w with PRI and DID's with Octel voicemail interfaced via VMI's. Scenario is using the "attendant option" (a.k.a "0"-out option) of Octel to allow a caller...

Fwd to vmail on busy DID/intercom keys

Prime set of PRI is set to the main programming set in the switchroom - this is the same set which has the "services on" message for the automatic overflow of calls from PRI to backup loop start lines.

Fwd to vmail on busy DID/intercom keys

mroberts, it works like you say, but I still have the problem when all intercom keys are busy - there is no indicator to user that additional call is coming in (because there are no keys left) and caller just gets ring no answer. If these keys were additional appearances of the target line...
