Hey PHV.
Thanks for the link to that code.

Hi All.
Im a bit of newbie when it comes to this aspect of Access, so I hope this makes sense.
I have a database that is located in a groups directory on my server. However, this database will now need to be accessible to a larger number of users across the country, who are located on...

Hi all.
Thanks for the suggestions and replies.
I have successfully managed to stop the warnings and the queries will run but ignore duplicate records. Thanks to all who suggested fixes.
One last problem (I hope) is that when I enter data into the fields on my form then click on the command...
Hey guys.
Thanks for the replies. The DoCmd.SetWarnings does what I requested, however I have hit a snag.
I'm running multiple Apend queries from a single command button on my form. Turning of the warnings works fine provided there are no errors in the data being apended.
However, if some of...
Hey all,
I'm wanting to run both an apend and a delete action query with a single command button, but I really want them to run without the "Are you sure you want to run this type of query" and the "You are about to apend X rows" message boxes.
Is this at all possible?
Cheers.
This is a...

I have a form with three combo boxes on it, and all are linked to their own table -

Hey all,
I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to creating queries, so any advice is welcome.
I have a basic database that holds the majority of records in a single table. Data is entered via a form linked to the table.
I have created a form that users can use to search the database. Basically I...
Thanks AvGuy.
I've been playing around with it and came up with a similar solution.
Hope it continues to work.
Cheers.

Hey all,
In Access '97, I've created a form with a sub form contained within, and they have a one to many relationship.
The subform records staff names, the main form records observations.
How can I limit the subform to contain no duplicate staff names for the linked record in the main form...
Hey TheAceMan1,
Thanks for the answers.
I should have specified that I'm using Access '97.
I know what you mean about hiding your work. It's no something I usually do, but it is a request from the database owner.
I like the idea of the full validation on the BeforeUpdate event of the form...
I was wondering if someone could answer this simple question for me.
I have a fairly basic form that is displayed in a continous format. Each field is disabled pending data being entered into the previous field.
When you enter data into the first field, the second field becomes enabled on the...
FP,
it's not really a report, just a quick one liner to notify someone that a record has been created.

PHV,
I tried adding the and as per your suggestion, but it only resulted in and being added to the start and end of the body text.
Did I miss something?
Kev.
