Hi - yeah we've tried going into the interface we're patched in to and using "port monitor fa0/3" for example where 3 is the port we want to monitor.
No joy using Sniffer Pro though.
Hi all,
I'm looking for the command to enable a port to be used to sniff cross VLAN on a Catalyst 3548 switch.
I have had no luck on the Cisco website and can't find anything through either newsgroups or Google....
Thanks in advance.
I've had a repair guy (friend of a friend) have a quick look at it and it looks like it is a daughter-board causing the problem. His guess is that the problem is being caused by solder joints. Could be that yours has the same thing?
Hope this is of help.
Hi - Yeah have checked the power cable is firmly in -might replace it just to make sure though. I got a price for fixing it from Mitsubishi UK £140 + VAT at 17.5% + £55 delivery + VAT. It does include £20 of parts which is a real bonus. Something tells me they don't want to repair them. . . ...
Hi,
Took the plunge and got the optical desktop from MS. Mouse works like a dream but the Keyboard won't work correctly. The F Lock button won't work - no change on the reciever LCD no matter how many times I press the thing and can't get the keys to work normally - noly their enhanced functions...
Hi,
I've looked at the setup and it seems that it is because the webserver is NAT'd out through the same interface of the PIX (public) as the website. The PIX then can't go out and back in on the same interface so I think the solution is to use split DNS and point the proxies to an internal DNS...
Hi,
We've got a PIX 525 which has a couple of dns servers in one dmz, our web-server in another dmz and proxys lan-side which are nat'd straight through.
The problem I've got is that as we can't go out of the public interface and back in through the same interface - hence the proxy server can...
We've found a solution to the problem - MS have a Q article on it:

Forward unresolved recipients doesn't work - you have to use a shared SMTP domain name space.
Hope this is of help to someone else in the future.
Regards.
Hi,
I've got a bit of an intermittant problem with a 19" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 900u (my baby). The picture flicks off (screen goes black - no picture) and then comes back on really quickly. Sometimes there is some electrical crackling noise too. It's just gone out of warranty (typical!)...
I'm currently in the process of migrating from Sendmail to Exchange 2000.
I've changed our MX record to point to the Exchange server and enabled the Forward Unresolved Recipients to the IP address of the old Sendmail server.
The IP has been entered in square brackets as per a MS KB doc I saw...
Hi,
I've got a Windows 2000 Domain Controller running on a Poweredge 1550. I need to move this to a Poweredge 1650 and am wondering what might be the safest/easiest way to do this.
I could do a full tape backup and restore, or use imaging software but am wondering if it might be easier to just...

You might like to look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q255690&
It shows you how to transfer all 5 Flexible Single Master Operations (FSMO) roles, Schema Master, Domain Naming Master, Infrastructure Master, RID Master and PDC Emulator...
Hi,
I'm going for the stab in the dark as I'm not too clued up on Cluster, but I had a similar problem which was due to anti-virus software and the low level I/O filtering carried out. If you have AV software installed might be worth checking that it's cluster approved.
With a failover...
