I have performed a number of these from upgrade to fresh deployment.
I have skimmed it down to basic items.
export the elements form the existing SALGW. save as a .csv file.
note all the ip addresses of the old SALGW. (DNS/Gateway,Etc)
verify you have the proper specs for wehat you are...
I have always used the web gui to update the CM 7.x. You just download the patches then unpack and activate them one at a time making sure you wait at least 2 minutes between patches. Previous versions had different ways of updating depending on PSN's or PCN's
Did you status the station to see what lit the light?
If it was lit by another station you can call it back or just clear it as above with the clear amw all command.
I have had numerous issues with deploying the VM's/OVA's in AVP. I personally found that I have to remove the VM and redeploy it. I have had occasion where I had to uninstall the SDM and re-install just to get the AVP to display the right state of the VM's. I think Avaya is still working out...
I would reboot the MG700 and try the board in the right slot. It is possible that when the power was applied after the move it was spiked or some other event that may have caused the MGP to get a little off kilter. Make sure to do a proper shutdown on the 8300 before removing power to the G700.
Either I am not looking in the right place or there has not been a lot of techs working on Avaya AVP on here.
I have had hit or miss on the Utility Server/services using a DL360 G9 or just a S8300D/E.
The issue: I always try to install or load as much software as possible in the lab...
