When using the Filter by Form a dropdown is created containing all the values for a particular field. In my case it is a text box field formatted for date. The dropdown list is sorted oldest to newest.
I know how to change the sort order of dropdown list on the actual form, but is there any...
Try choosing "Design View" instead of one of the Wizards. If you have not first clicked on a table or query, the grid opens with "Show Table" window so you you can choose the object(s) for the query. This works the same way in both 2003 and 2007.
Now close that new query and click on a...
Some co-workers and I have noticed a subtle change from Access 2003 to 2007.
In 2003, you could highlight a table or query name in the Database window, choose Insert on the menu, Query and the New Query window would open, defaulting to Design View. Clicking OK would open a new query with the...
Glad I found your post. I have having this problem with a linked Excel sheet and thought I was going crazy.
But in my case, I can't delete the formatting as it is a linked table.
Good old Microsoft does it again!

I can't change the format as it is a linked Excel sheet. So far I haven't found an Excel format that would allow it to carry over to Access to remove the problem.

By any chance are either of you using SP3?

There is a combo box on a form in the database and its Row Source is the linked Excel sheet. The first column in the Excel sheet is numeric, the remaining 3 fields are text.
When the combo box is clicked, only the numeric field will show...

I have an application in Access 97 that is used by both Win95/Office 97 and Win2K/Office2K users. Because of this, it has been enabled for the 2K users by choosing "Open" rather than "Convert". I know that if any change is made to an object, the database must again be...
I have an A97 application that generates reports in SnapShot (.snp) format. They are then emailed to department members. The reports contain a graphic (8KB) on the first page and works fine on all but one computer. In that case, the graphic displays, but nothing else appears on the first...
If you look at the record source of the form its self, you will see that instead of being based on a table or query, it is based on an SQL statement. Click to the right of the line and the query builder will open. Units in Stock is defined as...
