An EIO4 module on an OPB3 (KX-TDA/KX-TDE series) card allows connection of up to 4 external sensors. What would be a typical use for these and what do they do when triggered?
Same questions I suppose for the relay outputs...
@CWC3:
If it's too simple, then where's the challenge...
Can you (or anyone, I have one answer on this but want to be 100% sure), tell me if there's anything that I can do, accidentally or otherwise, that can't be undone by restoring the SD card from a backup? Am I right in my thinking that...
Also I get a "Program is not installed correctly" error when I try to connect. I can connect using "PBX Web Manager" but that only allows manager-level access. Is this a region issue?
Thank you for both of those links, very much appreciated. I did a lot of searching with no luck. Now I'm kind of anxious to access that system, it has 22 license files on the SD card and I'm curious to see what they are.

I think you got it. I deleted the card using the maintenance console, then installed it using maintenance console. At that point it was showing status of "Pre-Install". Then I unplugged the card, waited a few seconds, and plugged it back in. Then status went to INS. So basically I think...
I have a cell station on port 1. I don't remember the specific order, as far as card insertion or cell station connection. I know that at one point I had the red LED lit on the cell station, then it went off.
I can't find any reference to a "Card Obstacle" error message in the documentation...
I am unable to get my CSIF8 card working in a KX-TDE600 chassis. When I try to put it in service I get a "Card Obstacle" error. The card is recognized and the diagnostic runs fine, but it won't let me put it in service. I tried a system initialize, and no change.
