username=administrator ... that is as 'administrator' as I know how to log in.
This machine is quickly becoming a candidate for a rebuild. It's starting to BSOD on me now.
Yes, I was able to print as the admin. Will windows recreate everything if I delete that users folder in explorer? Will it even let me delete it? I'm sure there is some stuff in there the user would prefer not to lose.
That does not appear to be it after all. I uninstalled the avery software and still can't print logged in as the user.
The macro still seems to be present, even though I uninstalled the software. In word I went to tools>Macro>macros and it is at the top of the list. It won't let me delete it...
So I log in as administrator and disable macros. It wanted to load an Avery Label macro. Now I'm getting the print dialog and it printed OK. I'm going to uninstall the
Avery stuff and try as the original user.
I could, but it won't print to any printer. It's like the print command never leaves the program. I can't get a print dialog box open.
I've switched the default printer and the same thing happens.
Windows won't let me rename the users folder in explorer. It says it is a system folder and can't be renamed or moved. I tried it in Safe Mode, also. How have others accomplished this?
I wonder if the system is so junked up that there isn't enough space allocated to have more restore points.
I looked at the settings and it is set to the max (%12) which is 8701 MB.
System Restore isn't letting me go back a month. User was on vacation for most October and had this problem before they left.
The only date available to me is today.
