Actually, I like the group idea. So what your saying is that I just make a new Hunt Group called Attendance for example, and point the destination for the DID right to the group? I wouldn't really need any short codes for this one right?
Running Avaya 406 with 4.2 firmware, running Voicemail Pro as well.
Hi guys. I would like to assign an available DID I have in my incoming call route to a voicemail box. This is going to simply be used for employees to leave messages when they are going to not be in the office. I don't want to...
I'd like to move my Feature Key Server and VM Pro installation from one machine to another, I think I have the steps outlined, but wanted to verify with you guys.
Export call flows from vmPro
Backup the Accounts, Greetings, Names, and WAVS folder from the "\Avaya\Voicemail Pro\VM" folder...
Thanks so much for all of your help.
I might be making a mountain out of a mole hill here. Let me approach this from another direction.
Assuming that the user has access to voicemail from outside, is there a way they can setup/toggle the call forwarding from outside?
I'm still running an IP Office 406 with the 4.2 firmware, so I think my choices are somewhat limited. I don't want to do anything with VPN, softphone, or twinning since this user will only be in this situation for a few months and will then return to the office.
Any more details on how to do...
Hi guys. I wanted to see if there was a way to setup an internal extension to call forward to an external number on a schedule.
The scenario is that I have an external person that works from home and has her extension forwarded to an external number. What I'd like to do is somehow automatically...
Hi guys, I'm going to be moving to a new office and had a question about wiring for the new building.
I currently have a IP Office 406 with Avaya 4212D+ phones. Phones connect to the handsets via rj11, and also to the expansion module on the IP Office as rj11.
I want to wire the new building...
Alright, I have more information, my user wasn't telling the full story.
Issue is:
1) Inbound caller calls in
2) User picks up the phone and simply hears a ticking sounds
3) User hangs up
4) User calls back, everything is fine, but they mention that they could us talking, but we couldn't hear...
Hi guys, running an IP Office 406 running 4.2
About a week or so ago, some of my users started reporting a problem where the user on the other end of an incoming call cannot hear us talking, however we can hear them just fine. The caller will simply hang up, and when they call back, everything...
While it looks like the document you provided says otherwise, my vendor is saying that they don't have a hard VPN phone that is compatible with my SonicWall VPN firewall.
This is why I was looking at either setting up a hardware VPN at the remote site (which I really don't want to do for...
Hi Guys, need some opinions on SoftPhone. Running an IP Office 406 with the 4.2 firmware.
I have a user that will be starting to work from home exclusively, and am toying with the idea of using SoftPhone instead of setting up a VPN device at the home location and using a hard device...
I think I answered my own question, looks like #2 is going to be my solution since I don't need a separate VPN device.
I'm going to get in touch with my consultants to see about getting one. Thanks for all of the help!
One last question, but does the handset use a standard PPTP/L2TP VPN...
